Jeremy West is a software engineer at Google working on Identity infrastructure for YouTube in San Bruno, California. Jeremy has over 15 years of technical software experience in a wide range of industries, from real-time, physically realistic simulation models for vehicle dynamics to weather data management systems for computing local estimates of evapotranspiration.
Jeremy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Math and Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Mathematics before pursing doctoral work in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics at the University of Michigan. During his graduate studies, and also as a researcher at the Michigan Tech Research Institute, Jeremy conducted research in Markov processes, Kalman filtering, and radar detection systems. He has published original research in the SIAM Journal of Matrix Analysis and Applications, SIAM Review, IEEE Control Systems Magazine, and the American Control Conference.
